good game
Getting better, decent queen's gambit accepted till the end.
I'm not that good so I might give bad advise but few things I noticed :
* Don't give up bishop pair if you don't have to
* Don't open up acces to your castle position like that. You forced yourself to make that pawn move and therefor willingly opened that diagonal to your kingside. Try to avoid weakening that structure.
* Unless you have pieces and you can lock a pawn in place rooks are probably better on the 7th rank. (You basically moved your rook asking him to deal with his weakness instantly)
* Why did you trade off when you had a spatial advantage ? His rooks weren't close to your position and yours were infiltrating his, why trade off at that point ? The result was his rook infiltrated yours and you lost an active rook for nothing. (2 active rooks actually)
Instead of 26.Rdf6, play 26.Rd7. You attack his f7 pawn, which he can only defend by the horrifically passive Rf8, and if he gives up that pawn decideds to take your weak e-pawn you just take on f7, attacking a7, which can only be defended by pushing the pawn, after which you can play Rf6 and attack two of his pawns at once. In rook endgames, having the more active rooks is the key to victory.
It's important to handle the king properly in the endgame; instead of pushing your passed pawns closer to his king and away from your own you should have activated your king and perhaps concentrated more on defending your weak queenside pawns.
I thought it was a pretty good game, definitely one of the better ones I've had, until my terrible endgame and time pressure got to me. I'm used to taking a long time for my moves and even in 15 |10 I feel pressed. Any comments, suggestions, or anything else would be appreciated.
