The quickest way to improve your board vision is through the study of tactics. A wonderful book that has helped many is Joh Bain's Chess Tactics for Students. Check out Coach Heisman's website (danheisman.com) for instructions on how to best study it. Also check out the study plans for beginners (it's under the heading "Learn" in the green bar at top). And if you'd like other takes on how a beginner can get better, then type in "beginner" or "beginner advice" in the search forums box and enjoy dozens of previous threads on the same topic. Have fun.
help or advice to a beginner

ive tried to study tactics on the computer but every time i think that i have learned the tactic i go into a game and i never am able to set it up or anything, my biggest problem in chess is that my opponant pretty much reads me like a book whenever i attempt to launch an attack so i never get anywhere. :/
im a beginner at chess and i was wondering if anyone could help me with some tactics or strategies because i always seem to move my piece straight into a blunder i don't see, also i never end up attacking correctly because i get countered. :/ what to do?
