It does not matter. At move 21 white is losing any way.

I recently played a game, and in viewing the analysis, I'm more confused than anything.
21. exf6 is listed as the best move despite leading to a M7. Nc6 however, is also listed as best when I was trying to figure out what is going on. I'm just confused. During the game, I decided to play Rfd8 because I felt taking my knight wouldn't cause an issue for me. I didn't see the M7 by taking the knight. I just knew with two rooks and the bishops the king was in trouble. I'm just at a loss with the analysis and would love any insight as to what is happening. Thanks!
