3. d3 and then 4. d4. Why take two moves to accomplish what you can do in one move? After 4. ... d5 you are now playing a French defense where white is behind a move, this can't be good.
5. Bd3 seems to hang a pawn for nothing in return. By move 7 black has two pawns occupying the center and white has none. White also has a pawn less and is probably lost at this point.
8. c4 seems to lose a piece due to the disovered attack on the next move.
10. Na3 loses a piece for no reason.
11. Nh4 loses a piece due to the fork.
14. Rb1 ignores the upcoming pin of the queen.
17. Kd1 leaves the rook hanging on b1.
I can understand you didn't see these things when you played the move. Did you not see it even after your opponent took your pieces?
