1. d4 d5 2. c4 Kd7!!
How did it get away?
Instead of 6... Bb4, what about Nf6? It would let you push e4 next turn. And I don't see anywhere that 16..Rb8 could go, too much spaces for his King to run to because of his bishops.
I thought about 6...Nf6, but I didn't really like 7.dxe5 because that pawn hits the knight then. I forgot about ...Qxd1; yes I think that's an improvement.
Thanks!
Although, if Qxd1 white could play Nxd1 and that doesn't really get rid of your problem. And two illegal moves in one game? Tsk. Tsk.
yeah, it doesn't work after Nxd1, because 7.dxe5 Qxd1 8.Nxd1 Bxf3 and if 9.exf6, I have 9...Bxg2 10.fxg7 Bxg7 11.Rg1! which hits both bishops, and gg.
And on my illegal moves, I was entering my fifth straight hour of chess. They held the 3rd round for 5 minutes so I could have lunch, but none of my opponents would resign in a lost position so I was the last game to finish EVERY round . . .I didn't leave the room except for those 5 minutes to eat a slice of pizza.
Here is a game I played last weekend. It was against the highest-rated person at the tournament. I felt the game swung both ways, but I ended on top in the end . . . when it got away. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
