This is the U1800 and my published rating was 1701 during the tournament.

***I also managed to almost win the U1800 blitz, but I lost up a queen in the final game 😫

very nice game

You made a mistake on move 15 by playing f4. This misses an opportunity to centralize a knight so it controls more squares. Bro obviously, centralizing knights so they control more square is literally the best possible move in any position no matter what. Also you kept blundering your pieces and chess.com was so angry it gave 2 exclamation marks because one wasn't enough to show its surprise and horror at your moves. You could have won in 10 moves by playing the Caro Kann like GothamChess recommends, but instead you played the Sicilian like a NOOB. In conclusion, you should quit chess because you can't play 97+ accuracy every game like GothamChess (top 10 grandmaster). 95 accuracy is barely passable, I see 700s that have only ever played 12 games in their whole life get 98 accuracy every game. It's surprising you manage to stay above 2000

Great tactics!

I dont see the idea behind f5, if it isnt simply taking upp space and preparing advancing (just saw the next move was advancing, but I think the better idea was waiting) simply having it as a thorn

Maximaliem

hg6!! is a crazy find, feels like 99% would simply take g4 advacing the attack

Bro gothamchess is not a GM he's an IM. and not getting 97+ accuracy every game is not bad, no one can get 97+ every single game

Nice job Brayden!

This title is an exaggeration...

1) You tied for first, not outright won.

2) You tied for first in the UNDER 1800 section, not the open....
You can't even be said to have "tied for first in the North Carolina Open".

I also noticed your live rating is above 1800...meh

Tournament Report Here

But congrats anyway! Tying for first in the Under 1800 section is an accomplishment!

Why do you hate happiness?

Never mind the detractors. That looks like an Emory Andrew Tate game. Great job! Was that from preparation or did you find it OTB? Do you work with a coach?

I don't, I just want to be clear.

@putshort I am not sure how I found it over the board. My preparation time was wasted after losing my pen 840 times. 😆🤣

I literally don't understand anything about this game. I get that bishpps are slightly over valued, but why didn't in several spots the op take knight + pawn for bishop trade?
