How is this a draw?

My opponent got queen, king and knight, i left with one king but he run out of time
game decided that it is a draw due to lack of figures for checkmate
If your opponent runs out of time but you don’t have material to checkmate then it’s a draw, if you have one pawn it’s not a draw, if you have a queen or a rook, 2 bishops, 2 knights or a bishop and knight then you win
