How is this a draw? (ADMINs)

 Is there perhaps a flaw in the chess-running program concerning time and draws, or is it me who does nto understand why this game was a draw?

 He ran out of time, so he should lose, right? But he had enough material to checkmate eventually, so? Can someone explain to me how this works?

 

 

 

 

 

This game was drawn as my opponent ran out of time, having an extremety pawn. 

 

Why not:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PS: Can anyone tell me what is the name of white's opening. ( first two moves )

The opening is the Steinitz or Tartakower or Lasker-Dunne variation of the Sicilian.  White should win this ending easily.

If your opponent has enough material to get a win but not enough time, AND, if you don't have any material but with more time, by rule the game is a draw.  If this should happen in a tournament, white would be allowed to stop the clock and request that a draw be declared.
