How to use ChessX databases.

I'm really confused with the way databases work on ChessX. Every time I try to make a new database, I get confused as to how games are added to the database. I'm trying to make a database with famous games in. I know you probably can get such databases online but I still want to learn how to make a database and add games to it. Thanks in advance.

1. File → New database...
2. Game → New
3. Add moves
4. Game → Save...
5. Repeat steps 2-4
6. File → Save

Yeah but when I reopen the database I don't think the games appear anymore.

First, make sure you open the database (File → Open). Then database should be selected in Database pane and make sure Game List is visible as well (View → Databases and View → Game List).

The games should be there.

Hello, is it possible to have my repertoire database in chessX? eg "My white" and inside numerous games that I have imported pgn and analyzed and edited the comments etc? If yes how shall I do it? I opened a new database, named it but I do not know what to do next. Please help  Thank You
