Your opponent did not have to take the knight. They blundered and allowed themselves to be mated.

If he didn't take my knight, At least after rxf5 qxf5 be3+ nxf3 I am still up a rook. And I believe if queen were to take my rook on b7, it's a forced mate by qd3+, qb5+, rd7+, Qxb7.

But if king takes my rook on b7, am I screwed or are we equal? Haha
