Hi, I recently played a game where my opponent had 9.5% accuracy!
I got 98.9 percent accuracy in a chess game??!!
i'm a 1500-1600 and just DESTROYED my opponent in 13 moves. 99.7% https://www.chess.com/analysis/game/live/5089990146 I'm worried
should I be worried?
The "accuracy" metric on Chess.com is pretty meaningless. I routinely hit over 97% accuracy. If your opponent makes a blunder you'll probably be playing accurate moves. In my most recent game I missed a free piece and still finished with 97.8 accuracy. Don't worry, you won't get banned
Did you use an engine during the game? If not no worries but if you did I would hope you would be banned. You kids need to stop cheating at everything you do and actually learn.
There is nothing suspicious about a short very accurate game from a player of unexceptional level. Rather it is to be commended. If someone averages 98% accuracy (very different) they better be a super-GM!
For short games like this, high accuracy ratings are common. The moves are dominated by the book moves at the beginning, leading to high "accuracy" measurements.
