This same story kind of happened to me once: I was playing chess.com at 10:00 PM and was in a tournament, got paired with a 1000 rated player. While I was winning, my dad switched off the internet making me lose 12 points of rating. I still didn't forgive him yet.

You do know the game phase "ratings" are designed to make you feel good and do not necessarily reflect any objective skill, right?
I got at least 20 games where i was winning, but mouse slipped a blunder :(
Ratings are made to show how strong you are, so just play some more games, it will cancel out :)

I hate finger slips (I'm using a phone) so much when I have like a 17 streak on puzzles but the it slips

chess.com should add an option in the settings where you have to confirm your move

Yeah because a lot of games need quick moves and this problem can't really be solved, like in puzzles you have to move quick to get more points to get the speed one if you have the point system turned on
Never click drag your pieces and you’ll never slip. Click the piece then click its destination. Problem avoided.
