I want my old game review back.

I'd say my initial comment was the closest: "While I appreciate the effort to improve experience."

I hate the new review and if I have to continue using it I will reconsider my membership
the new review is childish and ill conceived. There is no reason at all for having to click to see the best move when trying to review and improve your game
The developers obviously think of us as children and think that we need a cartoon to be interested in review

Not gonna lie, the nr1 reason I paid money to chess com was for the game review, the new update is horrible though, I miss the part where the best move was suggested by an arrow, now that it is no longer available, it is quite frankly inferior to lichess, which is free, so this is definitely a step backwards

i just dont get it. i think im the only one who likes the new game review…? its way better formatted on mobile. what is worse than before? i still have the best move arrows?

Max K Smith is one of the designers over here, trying to sway the masses before it gets out of hand.

I'm just kidding, bro The majority of the problem for me is just general layout; I primarily play on a desktop, and previously all of the relevant information was sized, spaced and arranged appropriately so that it all appeared onscreen simultaneously, with minimal eye movement or scrolling.

Now there is a TON of dead space - all of the icons, numbers and buttons are much larger and more spread out, and awkwardly arranged and aligned, thereby wasting a lot of valuable real estate so that you now have to really scroll and look around the screen for information you used to be able to take in with quick glances.

It makes the review process labor intensive and tedious, and detracts from focusing on the moves that were made and the game itself.

When you click the Best option is shows it in the dialog and adds the move as a variation in the move list. If you click Show Moves, it adds the line to the variation and you can play thorough it.

You don't have to if you turn on the Show Best Move option in the Review settings.

Same, I agree. I don't hate or even really mind the new one but I like the layout of the old one better.

Same I don't even want to use it any more, I'd rather just analyze the game myself with an engine which is dull looking and boring.

Please submit feedback on the game review by contacting support from the Help menu. The new game review is so broken on both desktop and mobile. It really is a horrible experience. I have submitted feedback and always got a response from customer support. The more people complain via customer support, the quicker they'll notice and fix it hopefully.

I would like the old game review. You could plug the game in to the bot at any stage of the game and see how different strategies would work. Love the old format!

The review unavailable bug has been going on for many months and most of my feedback for that has gone unanswered as well

I have recently tried the new game review a couple times now and I'm thinking the reading of the game review is better than the older game review. Easier to read the coaches words. I am not sure if the analysis has been improved but perhaps it offers more of a detailed insight into moves. I'm starting to think it mentions when you have the right concepts despite not making a "book move" . I didn't like scrolling on the game review but I'm thinking it makes you slow down a bit more to evaluate rather clicking away speeding thru the review. Maybe I'm starting to adjust to "update"
