still can't believe a 1000 hung mate in one

Nice spot on the queen pin, but were you seeing those pin tactics when you played Nf6? I think you play quite riskily putting pieces in the line of fire of pawns. The engine sees Bd6 as a mistake because you're giving the opponent multiple ways to attack your pieces with defended pawns, now and in the future after trades which will give your opponent momentum to develop.
But apart from the opening, good job not blundering, trading down and setting up the mate. Monopolising on enemy blunders with solid play like that will easily climb your elo happy.png

One improvement would be not to play stuff like bd6 in the opening that locks in your other bishop and blocks a central pawn (the first time that bishop moves is on move 19... the opening is long over by then).

As a 1000, this happens more than people think...we try to play like 1700s and end up completely overcalculating lol

Bots are easy under 2000.

There really isn't much difference between 700 and 1000 elo, getting sucked back down into the 700s can be a battle to get back up, good victory though

How does game review suck? Honestly, the best chess engines are a masterpiece of human creation! Great game though!

I think you should learn scotch game as it will be played in many games. Always, always, when they play d4 as the third move, I mean after e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6, d4, you should take their d4 pawn, otherwise they will take some space, and your pieces won't be able to maneuver.

Also after move 6 they could fork your guys (bishop and knight).

TitanMaster101

Playing Bd6 on move 3 was probably not good, since you're blocking the pawn in front of your light square bishop

You should be proud of yourself, and rightfully so. Ultimately chess is about continuous improvement and whether black hung # in 1 or not, you still put tourself in the position to take advantage. Well done on your first >1000 win (I assume). Onwards and Upwards!

A 1000 hung mate in 1?!

Many of the 900+ I play against have high accuracy and playing strength. I lose more games against them than I win, still I manage to stay 900+ myself.
