This is my game versus International Master Dean Ippolito during his 16-game simultaneous exhibition at the Marshall Chess Club in New York City yesterday. I actually did a video analysis on YouTube:

Please don't laugh at how badly I got beaten! =P

Isn't 23...e5 a pawn fork?

Edit: LOL!

Yeah, I saw that too, and my heart skipped a beat for just a second before I realized it didn't work at all =P Arg!!

Here’s also a brief live video from the beginning of the exhibition. I’m his 8th opponent in the dark blue shirt. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=834842#!/video/video.php?v=111007125632116

exciting game!

The link I posted above doesn't quite work. I think the forum got confused by the "#" in the URL. If you copy and paste the whole thing it should work, though.

It was exciting, Tony! Of course, I tend to play a little bit differently and more aggressively in a simul, since it's not a rated game. I have to admit, though, I really didn't like losing so quickly in the opening, ha ha. I think that's the hard part about learning openings: it's not learning the right moves, it's learning how to PUNISH the wrong moves.

Going over my game again, I think I found the flaw in my strategy: all of my attacks were based around, "if he gives me the time, I will be able to..." which of course doesn't work at all, lol! He's not going to make silly mistakes like that =P

Maybe the next time I play in a simul I should take Donner's advice: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simultaneous_exhibition#Donner.27s_advice
