I have studied a lot of past games from a senior master. They were both with normal openings and with irregular openigns. In some of them, he'd play moves that we wouldn't even consider like giving his Q away early and winning. Or not developing in the opening and defeating his opponent. Over the years, I have improved from studying games like this, and I used one of those methods to teach Perry chess as we saw yesterday. Now, this was one of my favorite games because it was a short and got further behind (materialwise) but won.
