Thank you for the quite elaborated response! I had figured it might be something around the line "the opponent might be less inclined to capture back a piece of lesser value" but still this kind of moves look surprising 😅
As a matter of fact I run across a video of the French streamer Blitzsteam just after my post featuring stockfish vs another bot and it also underpromoted when given the chance. Still it always looks funny to see.

Just went through the game review of one of my game and this proposition of move puzzled me...
Is stockfish sincerely evaluating that disrespecting your opponent give you some advantage? Is this chess.com's eval trolling? Is stockfish secretly developed by Hikaru?
Anyone has a response to this questions?
