Hey guys, I'm just beginner in chess and I don't know which opening is best for which, and I'm neither strategic nor tactical player. In this game, my opponent chose Queen's Pawn Opening, which I replied with Englund Defence. I didn't expect him to capture my e5 pawn, but he did. So to clear the middle, I exchanged another pawn.
In the endgame, he had a rook and three pawns, and I only had one rook and knight. I knew the knight is useless there, so I sacrificed it to get his two pawns to force an equality.
So guys, please help me with some comments... Laughing

1. The Englund gambit is not a good opening, as it gives away a central pawn. Notice how most of the better gambits give away flank pawns, becaus they are not as good at gainin central control.

2. 9.Ng6! was an excellent move, gaining a lot of space on the kingside, intimidating the rook, and making use of the hole at g6. He had to weaken his king to get rid of it.

3. instead of blundering your knight at move 14, 14.0-0! unpins it. (and protects your king and gets your rook out.) ALWAYS REMEMBER TO CASTLE!

4. 16. Qxg8?? trades the powerful bishop for the unimportant rook. Instead either 16.Nd2 or 0-0 is better.

5. genius move 20.
