No grandmasters play it today because it's not the soundest of openings not because it's dangerous.
I would have to agree with DivinePawn, most grandmaster don't play the king's gambit because it is to dangerous, the opening is completely sound

Actually it IS dangerous at GM level, white is in danger of giving black easy equality/better game.

As you can see, only by our rating it is obvius that the game has a lot of mistakes. But I beliave that there is some beauty. But the beauty is based on two big mistakes. If you like tell me. If you don´t like well tell me too, but don´t make me sad.
