Losing to an 11 year old

In this game, I played an 11 year old girl who is unbelievably intelligent- she is taking high school level courses and claims to have an IQ of over 160. The whole game I thought I was worse, but the engine says I was actually better (if not winning!) most of the game.

Why don't you provide insight rather than being a troll.

Hmmm...bd3 is coming, so I guess you aren't avoiding h6 forever.  But it seems that 10. ...dxc4 exchanges the wrong pawn because white missed 11. d5!

In an OTB tournament, an unrated player is more dangerous than a low-rated player, and an unrated kid is more dangerous than a low-rated adult.  Nobody likes to lose to a kid, and they usually flee before the kid can get up, go over to the TD and announce in his pre-puberty voice "Board 73, I just beat Fonebone" because Fonebone knows that all the eyes will briefly swivel over to the hapless victim, amid only the ticking of chess clocks.

Funny you mention that, because after my opponent won, she yelled "I wrecked you!" and then sprinted out of the tournament room. (please note that there were other games still in progress)

Dear God you only have 1 loss in correspondence chess and you are in like the top 99.5% You ARE a chess prodigy!  You must have someone else on your account doing the tactics puzzles though because you are about 1000 points under rated in that.

You do realize that non paying members are limited to 5 a day.

zzz

That has zero relevance....haha, even though she has only 20 puzzles already,  no 1800 level-correspondence player (1900-2000 FIDE approx) would have a complete novice's tactics rating. So obviously, her little sibling uses the tactics trainer, no way there is only 1 person on that account.

What do you hink of 1600 at 12? I had only been playing for 8 months. I wonder how long she had been playing?

what do we think of you setting a world record? Not even Magnus Carlsen was that strong after playing for 8 months lmao... you are trolling us right?

Well you start at 400. You do 5 a day. You go up by 40. Now you're 440.

Your pass rate is 100% but your tactics rating is still low. It's not that hard to visualize.

And her pass rate is 17/20 which is quite high.

Milo "ZZZ" Yian, you are wrong again.... even if she DID Start at 400... you get your first one right, it gives you +100 or more...

@chessperson2222222:  If you continue playing in OTB tournaments, you better beef up your game before you face her again.  Kids these days, no matter their manners, are the future, and we are the present, very soon to be past.  It sounds like she may have issues with older authority, and when I was her age I had major issues with older authority which are still ongoing, even though I have become older authority personified.

AntonioEsfandiari

Milo just to prove you wrong in a way that you cant explain or wiggle your BS out of... she started at 800, not 400, and after her first puzzle she was at 989... moron lol +189

AntonioEsfandiari
MILO"

because when you first made your account you selected complete beginner. none of my ratings have ever started at 400...

OHHHHHHHHHHH

Because when she plays slow chess, she summons a terabyte of master chess knowledge into her brain, but she is taking forever on the tactics (setting up the position "mentally") and only getting +1 for some of them.

Yeah, put that little twerp in her place (even if she is stronger than you).

@chesperson2222222: how old was she? how recently?  I cracked up eading your post imagine a bratty 8-year-old girl yelling that (although infuriating surely in your shoes at the time) at a grown-ass man while other rounds are going on.

chessperson2222222

She also bangs the clock after making what she thinks is a good move.
