Do you beleive you won by luck, or utilizing oppurtunites you had when your opponent had you screwed.. Here's my luckiest win ever I think. The opponent if he hadn't screwed up could've easily beat me in 2 moves.

Idk how to post all the notation with it but if you could see he was beating me down all game. I was losing pieces without getting one of his he destroyed my pawn defense I played well but my mistakes and his attacks beat me down... He really should have won.

So your opponent gained some "potential" points after that loss?

There is no luck in chess - your opponent missed your mate, and you saw it.  Even if you didn't see it as a mate, you still saw it as a strong move and your opponent missed an opportunity to prevent it.  No luck in chess.

Well there is  luck, if you can call mistakes in decisive moments luck.

but mistakes in decisive moments are just that - mistakes.

the player still intentionally lifted the piece and moved it to a certain square.

this isn't yahtzee... i take credit and responsibility for both my wins and my losses.

You'd have to be pretty lucky to take "credit and responsibilty" for the win in post #5!Tongue out

Ok thanks, I'll be sure to remember that one.. To be beating me up and down the field so much it felt lucky. Oh my goodness I was laughing so hard when I won; what a jerk he was. Do any of you have any games like this?
