Meta-analysis of openings from archives

Hi all,

This is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone know of a way of doing a basic meta-analysis of the openings that I used in the games in my archive, and what the outcomes of the games were?

What I am hoping for is a program that will basically list the opening that was used in each game, whether I was white or black, and whether I won. That way I should be able to identify which openings are my weakest points.

Cheers,

Matt

I think the solution will be to save all your games into a Chessbase database, and create an opening book from it. Even better - make separate database for your games as white, and as black. By analysing the opening books generated from these databases you will know which moves you are scoring a win or end up in a losing position.

Thanks for the response - that sounds perfect. There are even youtube videos showing me how. Thank you!

Surely an easier way is to go to Explorer on this site and choose your games. The picture below shows what happens when I do that. It shows that I am more likely to win if I play e4 rather than d4. I have 100% record playing 1. c4 but only played it twice. happy.png

Now that, is clever! Thank you
