Missed win? 500 Noob Stuff

Hello! Could anyone explain how this move would've been advantageous? When I considered this move mid-game, I thought it would be a bad trade, let alone a missed win haha.

Thanks!

The miss win is the Bf1 to c4.

You should trade the c4 knight for your f4 bishop, and then fork the queen and bishop with Nd4 to Nb6, and then capturing the Ba5 on the next turn.

That way you trade a bishop for a knight and bishop, and you are up a piece.

Also if you capture the c4 knight and he recaptures with the d5 pawn instead of the b5 pawn, then when you move the knight to c6 you have actually trapped his queen as well with the rook on d1, so the queen has nowhere to go and nothing to place in front of it because it's threatened by the knight at the same time, so he'll have to trade his queen for the rook on d1.
