Today, I got a new phone and installed chess on it. When I went to analyze one of my games, I noticed that "Move Feedback" was no longer available, now requiring a premium membership. On my old phone, I still have the feature for free, and I just want to know how long this has been a thing for and if everyone else has noticed this.

The website just recently added the on the fly Move Feedback option for Analysis. I believe the apps were aligned with that and the feature was always meant to be premium only.
I was wondering this too, I quite liked move feedback.

I recently started playing Lichess because of this, you should give it a try. If you're playing on an android phone then do not use the app, it is not good. However, if you open Lichess in Chrome browser you can click add to home page and then install and it will make an app on your phone for the mobile Web page. This works very well and with a few tweeks feels as good as chess.com. I personally like zen mode as it looks nice and clean. All features are free and analysis is good. Gives you the option replay your mistakes and try to find the best move a little like tactics training. It does take a little getting used to after playing chess.com for so long but stick with it and you'll soon get used to it
