Sweet, so is there any chance you still playing OTB chess?

I don't see a point from you honestly saying that. What I can interpret is twofold:
  • I am boasting about the games, and this is entirely not true. Regardless of the result, I would post the games anyway. It is never about the results, it is all about the process and chess understanding. Also, I won that tournament with a perfect score 4/4 if you ask about it.
  • You are just rude and trolling. And yeah that is pretty much sums up what is going on. I went through your games, and my advice for you would be focusing more on the chess side of things, and less on trolling. Only then your rating and playing level can improve.

Guys please let me know what do you think about my play, and where in general I can improve upon my game. Thanks a lot!

Meh... I'm in my 60s and don't really have any chess ambitions left.

2200 or 2300 is probably about as high as I'll go.

On the plus side though, I do freakin' love Super Chicken!

I am actually looking for a way to improve upon my games.

At some points during my fourth game, I thought I had a very bad position, and somehow had to actively looking for play. I will update my thought process on all the games here, which was what I felt during the game and after looking with the engine are very different.

And thanks for the kind words, I love chicken myself too!

Good games, I am a little envious of your tournament result. Has to be considered successful for your first real otb experience

Thanks guys!

I have actually will update the analysis in each of the game in the tournament. Please take a look and let me know where should I improve or make mistakes.

Are you going to show some of your last tournament?

Your first three opponents were really terrible, so hard to judge.  However the fourth although your opening play looked suspicious, you later played with some creativity. So if you really are an inexperienced player look quite promising.

Hey guys, the last tourney is not as stellar, but it's more fun to analyse.

I won one, draw one, and lose one in time trouble.

I will update the games with analysis.

So here is the first game of the tournament. I came late, so I missed the first round sad.png .
Regardless, the game went very well.

The second game against a stronger opposition in a dry position.

I have only recorded up to moves 53. The position went on for about another 25-30 moves. The last phase of the game was played in blitz mode, and so many mistakes were made, and it is not worth analyzing.

In the end, I had approximately 2.5 minutes on the clock, and the opponent had less than 30 seconds. The position is dead drawn, with each side a rook and 2 pawns. I have accepted the draw offer as a gentleman gesture (I have decided to not play on time, as I have known Mr. Fred have played a good game.)

This game I am really looking for advice. I know my play and plan has been a bit below par.
