My winning combination

Hi guys, this is the first time I've posted to these boards, and I was playing an unrated game against an opponent weaker than I was. Early in the game I blundered away a bishop, and general poor play ended up with me being down a full knight with no compensation.

Please forgive me for the awful quality of the analysis above, this is my first time using it and I'm pretty sure I failed epically at making it correctly.

But, I was just wondering, are there really any ways for white to have gotten out of this winning combination? Or is the knight sac at the beginning just instantly winning for black? Also keep in mind that I don't have a chess engine, so if I missed something, just keep that in mind :P

Thanks for taking the time to look at this!

In this position, could white have moved bb4? After black could then move rd8 again pressuring white's knight, white could counter ra2, protecting the knight. If black captured with the biship on a2, then Qxa2 for white would still protect the knight, eliminate any possibility of black's biship pinning the queen (as in the scenario Qc2, bb3), and can attempt to salvage his situation.

Again though, I would say it's a well played combination (by black) and I would trust in his ingenuity to further exploit the situation.

=D

if you look at the annotation, bb4 loses to bb3+ picking up the queen because of the pin on the knight :)
