Nakamura-Ponomariov

This game was the first of two 5 minute blitz games played between Nakamura (white this game) and Ponomariov (black this game) to decide the winner of the 2009 tournament held in San Sebastian, Spain. I've decided to annotate this game with basic ideas and welcome everyone else to add their thoughts. Remember to look at the move list for variations. Nakamura also went on to win the second of the two blitz games, and therefore the tournament.

I would have found 33.Qxe5, or more likely would have been intending it.... in a correspondence game. OTB? In blitz? Gee-zus!!!

I guess Nakamura must have had more time at this point, because 31...Rg8 smacks of a move made by someone in time trouble, and struggling to find a good move, tries to simply make one that doesn't damage their position.

Nice game, I can't believe it was played with 5 minute timer and under the pressure of being a tournament decider!
