i hate the alekhine anyway. white gets a strong hold on the center and you are forced to keep moving your knight. and then i will have to agree with tonydal, passed central pawns are as deadly as checkmate!!!!

Your question concerns the middle game, and NM  tonydal covers it well.  I noticed after 4...Nb4 White has Qa4+, winning a piece for two pawns (5...N8c6  6.d5 Bf4  7.Na3 dxe5  8.dxc6 Nxc6).  The standard Alekhine move is: 4...Nb6.  The Alekhine defence is difficult to master, imo.  Good luck.

Why not 50. ... Kxe6 instead of d6?  this prevents the queen, as this leaves opportunity to attempt freeing up your pawns since your king is closer instead of giving white a queen.  At minimum it offers the chance for a draw.

I think I would have break his attack at #6 take a pawn at d5. and He wont take it back since you will go take his queen forcing him to not castle later in the game!

I don't know much though! I am just like you!!

i'm with dvwork... 50. ... take the e-pawn instead. Your bishop almost makes the white knight ineffective so you will get the d-pawn as well. With the white king on the outside, your chances are slightly improved. You would just need to watch for a fork that nets white a pawn and bishop for the white knight... still, a draw would most likely ensue.

Nice game BTW.

Move 16 you prob should have attacked his Bishop with the H-pawn rather than the F-pawn which blocks your nice G-7 Bishop and also opens your King up more than you would want. You should probably try and make a claim in the center before 20moves as people usually dominate if the own the center. There really isnt any point in doing moves for the sake of it. move 23 P-h6 doesnt do anything for you.R-F8 try putting pressure on your opponesnt in any way. his e3 pawn should be what your going for as it is backwards and very awkward for him to defend.
