I am not really good at this , but anyway please find below my analysis of the game from White's point
need help analyzing a game
6.d3 here u lost ur opening edge , u need d4 , try this opening 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 Bc5 4. c3 d6 5. d4
12. good exchange but i would go for h3 , then move knight to avoid brake on king side and if g4 later from black u can go h4 and lock position
14. "as black has captured space on the kingside i am trying to counter attack on the queenside and the center"
am not shure that that is good idea , mb u shuld make some problems for black with d4 , if he exchange then u shuld press with d5 and kick his knight and gain space
19. "i thought that i would open lines to his king with this sac and also gain the initiative" on move 14 u said that u will conter attack on queen side, and now u go for something else
yes thank you it seems that i shouldnt have castled and went for d4 instead so it means that i need to learn more theory
Ok 6 d3 is correct, after d4 takes takes black has bxf3 and wins a pawn or bust the king side open. in the later case after xf3 Bb6 d5 a6 xc6 xb5 xb7 Rb8 black is better. there is a fast threat of Qh4 Nf6 Ng4. You handled it positionally well by d3 first. Get a database or at least a chess engine, dont listen to mediocre players giving you advice after 5 seconds of thinking.

Calm down....there is absolutely no reason to insult another player's ability from the one comment, or ever, for that matter...Also, the OP is perfectly right in not using a computer first as that would defeat the purpose of posting here (further more, the rules actually say NOT to use a computer engine to analyze your game if you want to post here) You analysis is somewhat incorrect as after 6...exd4, White can play 7. Bxc6+ followed by 7...bxc6 8. cxd4 and White is in a perfectly fine position.
In regards to the game, the line Black chose is actually the Classical Defense and one that would be well worth looking up as you will undoubtedly encounter it more in your chess career (also, the d4 push is one of the keystones of this opening for White). Whenever you play an opening, study the main lines to prevent surprises!
Black's 4...d6 looks kind of passive. More usual are 4...Nf6 and 4...f5?! Since Black's move puts no pressure of your e-pawn, you are free to play an immediate 5.d4! and I 'm sure that's your best move.
6.d4! works. Although it's true that Black can shatter your king side with 6....Bxf3 7.gxf3, you have a forced win of material that gives you a big advantage. After 6.d4 Bxf3 7.gxf3 Black has to save his Bishop and the Nc3 is lost. But You still have an advantage after 6.d3. In fact, afer 6...Nge7, you can still get a big advantage with 7.d4!
I think you should have tried 10.a4. When you play the slow, positional lines in the Ruy, you almost always want to soften up Black's queenside.
I think Black's push on the kingside is mostly hot air. His Ne7 is not well placed to attack your king, and it also blocks his queen's route to the king side. 11.h3 is safe for you and good. 11.a4 is also good. You still have a small, but definite advantage.
I think you played the position quite well in the early middle game, You got the two bishops, opened up the a-file for your Rook, and now you're ready to cash it. Any Grandmaster would be delighted with your position. But then you stumbles with 19.e5? There's a reason you and I aren't grandmasters! 19.d5! (19....Nb4 20.Qd4 or 19...Nd8 20.h3) would have helped nail down your advantage.
I think you can be quite proud of the way you handled the opening and early middle game; you got an ideal Ruy Lopez position. But you miscalculated when it came time to start cashing in. So call it a great learning opportunity and study the position and figure out how you'll handle it next time
yes with the line you have given black certainly does lose his knight
wow 19.d5 it crossed my mind for a second but i didnt even consider it further but it really is good! thanks
btw you are right cashing in the advantage is the hardest part getting it is considerably easier... well thats at least how it is to me.

I would apresciate if you showed how d4 gives an advantage as opposed to more quiet and solid d3. I see I missed 8 cxd4 , Bxf3 9 Qxf3 Bxd4 10 e5 with good compensation.
However, after 8 ... Bb6 Black has the bishop pair and nothing concrete to fear. Now 9 Nc3 Qf6 with maybe Bxf3 so 9 Qc2 Ne7 10 Nbd2 0-0 and white cannot undermine white king without a bishop to attack h7 or f7. White is perfectly fine after d3 as well, which is my point. I am just irritated that someone criticises the OPs style of play instead of pointing out the clear mistakes that cost him the game.
Hold on Norphin I just realized that
8.cxd4Bxf3
9.Qxf3Bxd4
10.e5Qd7
11.exd6cxd6
12.Re1+Ne7
Now 13 Rxe7 Kxe7 14 Qe4 e6 and you cannot take the bishop because of back rank mate. after 13 Bg5 f6 and castles, 13 Qe4 Bf6 and castles White has an undeveloped Queenside so his agressive Qxf3 does not work. After 9 gxf3 there is no attack,
9 ... Bb6
10.Qc2Qd7
11.Be3Ne7
12.Nd2O-O
13 Rac1 f5 threatening f4 and now black is the agressor. My conclusion: d3 much better than d4.
