Okay So this is at move 16 in one of my games, and I was simply trying to analyze the posistion here. I'm new to this, and while this is probably a piece of cake to some of you, I'm not as good. I have a real problem eliminating bias in my analysis, and I often find myself thinking that my opponent will do the move that most benefits me, only to find out that they have a brain too and utilize it to their advantage, not mine. And so, I'm asking for more of a second opinion. Here I thought that black was better, but I was also black, and so I'm interested to see what analysis you guys can give me.

Asking for advice on ongoing games is very unethical.

It's not ongoing, I can post the full results if you'd like. I had just made a note of this position in the game, and wanted to go back to it after to analyze it more in depth.

It could really go ethier way. Yes, black has the center, but some sudies show that the center can really be more of an object of attack than a advantage. (Yes, I am lower rated than you, but I own several tactics books, so I am just giving my 2 cents...)

I like black better because of the two central pawns. Develop the queen and centralize the rooks and maybe you can win one of those pawns. I like the 2vs1 pawn on the queen side for white.

Can You post the whole game? So I can see how you got to this position.

Intrinsicbarbaro

Yeah, that's why I said centralize the rooks and maybe you can win one of the pawns. The first thing white needs to do is to move the bishop or the knight. d4 wins a piece for black. My point is that white is struggling with useful moves, while black has a mirage of moves to choose from. Black bishops are better than whites bishops, black is Threatening d4.
