That is the book openings and the results from the Master games database. So, that is showing the most common continuations but may or may not be what the engine prefers.
You are correct in the results, though it should be noted the results are rarely due to the opening moves and were instead influenced by positions and mistakes in later parts of the game.
Hello! I've just started playing in the last week, and I am trying to get familiar with the different tools on the website. I played a game vs the computer, and was looking at the analysis after the game. The analysis jumped to my 4th move (I was playing white), and displayed a list of moves and bar graphs below it.
First question... is this showing the typical responses from other players to the move that I made? And if so, do the graphs indicate the game result for white, black, and draw(gray)? If so, how do you factor that into your strategy since it shows what the other player is going to do? (Sorry if this is obvious... again, newbie here)
Second question... If I am interpreting the bars correctly, why did the computer choose O-O (32%) instead of c5 (44%)? Was it because I was playing against the beginner coach?
Thank you!
