Not entirely sure how I lost. I know the rules but maybe I missed one.

I dont think, I set it to have no timer.

I don't think that games with no time control do exist on this site ... your game was a bullet game, which means one with extremely short time controls (1 minute per player for the whole game, or similar).

I dislike that. May I ask how it is possible that a site with the domain name Chess.com doesn't have the simple untimed game?

People want a guarantee that a game with a random anonymous player will be completed within a reasonable time-frame.  In live chess, you have the capability of setting it up for over two hours per person, which is usually more than enough for any casual game.  If you want even more time, you can wander over to the "Online Chess" section and have up to 14 days per move!  With vacation time and the ability to disable the "auto-win on time" there, you can effectively have an untimed game.

Untimed games would be frustrating.

Because a lot of people, if they were losing, would just not move. And a lot of games would then just turn into a battle of patience, which player is going to wait the longest. Hell, there's enough abuse of this kind in timed games.
