Also anyone with advice on how to convert from an internet to otb player would be helpful! as a junior I played a lot of board chess but most of my experience now is computer based and I find it much easier to see moves on the screen than with the pieces in front of me! For instance in the analysis of this game when I was creating a pgn I was shocked at some of the moves I had missed! anyone have any advise on how to convert this ability to see on a 2d screen to real otb chess?
I had the same problem when I 1st started playing OTB. After a few games the difference became negligible though.
Game that I played in a OTB league match last night... comments / analysis welcome... not my best performance but after a 16 hour work day I was knackered! and made a number of mistakes and a dubious rd7?! but in the end my opponent blundered under time pressure and I took the win...
