I knew it was unsound, if it wasn't a blitz game I'd never have tried anything like that. But it did give me a large time advantage, which, sadly, I couldn't convert.
Play like Tal?
You weren't really playing like Tal. Firstly, Tal didn't sac pieces for the heck of it. He did that based on inution, and he actually calculated everything, so if a sac was gonna fail, he wouldn't do it. It's true that computers have refuted SOME of his sacs, but, computers are based on calculation. Thats why Tal was sucessful, because he calculated his sacs, not just randomly did it, without calculation, to prove it's soundness.ย

I felt playful and decided to sacrifice a piece just for the sake of it. The game was fun, but despite having a big time advantage I blundered a couple of times and lost.
