I felt like I played this game very well.  I haven't played much chess and he was much higher rated then I.  I had a lot of fun playing this game, any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps (16) Qd2 was better than Ng5. It defends the b2 pawn and stops Black from trading Queens, thus doubling your pawns. It also threatens Bxh7...winning a pawn, because you will win back the Bishop with a Qxd7 follow up.

first of all it's 6:00 am in the morning here so my analysis may be less than accurate, if u want me to run it through Rybka just send me a msg

11. Nd2 was by no means bad, but Nb5 could have caused him some trouble

next I agree that 16. Ng5 was a mistake in my opinion 16. Qxb6 axb6 17. a3 is much more solid

20. Bc4 was probably better since it put more pressure on the e6 and f7 squares and helped hold the a2 pawn; it also allows u to hold the e4 pawn with a rook from behind

22. Bb5 Bxf3 23.gxf3 Rxe5 24. Bxc6 bxc6 25. Rd7 would have left you with a more easily manageable endgame

32. Ne4+ Ke7 33. Ke5 improves ur king penetration into his position and according to Rybka eventually leads to a forced draw (yeah, was forced to use it since I didn't have an analysis board and it is far too early for me to visualize)

36. Kc5 is far better

move 37 didn't improve the lost position

until the last little bit u played pretty good chess and a lot better than ur rating so overall good job, hope this helps, if u want the full rybka analysis let me know

your welcome

You voluntarily accepted doubled and isolated pawns. You opponent was kind to let 1 of them go back to the f file.

Ya, that was something I noticed too while reviewing the game some more.  I sometimes overlook my pawn structure and it's really something I need to think about during my play.  Thanks for the tip.

hello god lol

1)u playing a better player  so keep your center like a fort with lots of ammunation

move 13 kxd4 not pawn then go back

2) you are doing things that cleared  the good center u build

3)move 15 i would exchange queens  it would knock out and unblance abetter player than u move 20 guard your bishhop with knight then try to drive his

knight away with pawn

knight away with pawn

4 ) 22 bad move u lost a goo positioned pawn 25: 26 :27 very good moves

34 kc5 much better or king c5  his knight cant move later try exchange left side pawns what happened who won how did game end ?

godsentx

I resigned after my last move.  I think 34. kc5 is a major move that I need to see next time and I'll have that knowledge next time I reach a similar position.  Thanks.

When trying to draw a better player your best bet is Not exchanging pieces left and right like you did in the game. The best way to draw a superior oponent is to try to kill them. Play good agressive moves and try to win!

In your game you played 8.Qd2? (the move it self is not bad it's the idea behind it your just mindlessly agreeing to the exchange)

against a weeker player anybody including yourself would have played 8.f4!

black has to waste another temp moving his bishop you gain space your playing white and you have a better position+=

 instead you played Qd2=

its easier to draw a += position than an = position

dont pussy foot it brother!
