@ Glorfindel_1 - Enjoyed the surprise ending. Thx for submitting.
Post your game for expert analysis

"I think you know this, but I'm going to put it in here just in case: The order of the value of pieces is pawn = 1, knight = 3, bishop = 3, rook = 5, queen = 9, king = the game. So trading a rook for a knight is not in your best interest since the rook is more useful generally. " Yes I didn't see that until he moved :(

"40... a1=Q41. f7#Surplise!" It was a bigger suprise for me! I only did that to pick off his Queen!

Hello, heister!
can you analyze this OTB game?
This was played in the greek u-14 championship (90 30 for 60 moves+ 30 min after the 60th move) in 2012. (I have gooten stronger by then!!) I am black. I had won the first round and was paired with seed 8 in the 2nd round.

Hey I know this game is 15/10 and not a full 30 minute game, but it is one of the better games i have played, even though i did loose. It would be really apprieated if you could have a look and analyze it for me.
thanks

Apologies for not doing a game yesterday. I'm just coming to the end of back to back 18 hour work days. I'm going to crash for now, but I should be able to get to these tomorrow.

@Ksh80 - There were many tactical patterns in your game that went unspotted. The common theme that you missed was discovery. The second theme was decoy and overworked pieces. You may want to focus your work there in the near term!

@Heister - First of all thanks a ton for analysing the game, & showing me the tactical possibilities that I missed. Now I see the huge tactical patterns that went unspotted. I have to make sure i use the time frame to the full extent, (I had almost 20 mins left in that game) - I knw poor time utilization.
As for the Cookie let me give it a try. my guess is 30..Nxh3 is wrong(back rank mate), becoz the the queen is guarding the H5 square. :)
Thanks a lot & keep up the goooood Work!!!

Hi Heister,
1 more game for review, Cud I have won here more forcefully?
How was my game in the end game?
Where did my opponent miss a chance to crush & how could i have avoided it (if possible)?

Thanks in advance

@ Roeczak - Your opponent played a very strong game. You always had some chance to equalize, but never came up with a plan besides defending :(. Thanks for submitting this game. It was fun to see a game from the Greek championships.

@ Allheart - If you have a 15 10 game that goes for 90 moves, feel free to submit it. The 30 minutes per side rule has to stand. Good chess ideas take time to percolate.

In your game analysis of KSH you have the variant 34. Qe4 Rf2+, but the black queen will be pinned by the white queen and the white queen will cover all important squares. Hence do I think that that variant should change.
34. Qe4 Nf4+ and now:
35. Kf3/1 Nh5+ 36. Ke2 Nxg3+
35. Kf3/1 Nh5+ 36. Kg2 Qxg3+ 37. Kh1 Qh3#, so the queen has to capture the rook:
35. Kf3/1 Nh5+ 36. Qxf5 Qxf5+ 37. K... Bxc3 and black will win.
or
35. Kh1/2 Qh5+ 36. Bh4 Qxh4#
@ Glorfindel_1 - I'll analyze your game if you let me know who your opponent is and their rating + the time control of the game. Thx.
this was a game at a local tourny, unnrated beginners section... time was 120 sudden. Thanks in advanse for the analysis :)
