Post your game for expert analysis

@ seriousaboutchess I will analyze your game if you post your own comments on it first.  I'm especially interested in your Kf1 idea on move 21.

@ t_taylor.  Good opening and early middle.  The hardest thing to do in that game was to realize that your advanced connected passed pawns were worth more than the exchange.

I'm not singling out anybody here, but if you played a game on chess.com, used a computer to cheat, and then submit it to this thread for analysis... you're being a little naive.  I usually know within a few moves. It is even easier to  discern if you try to use human logic to explain computer moves.  I may or may not be nice about it.

As tempting as it is to try to look smarter, do not try to pass computer moves off as your own.  Please submit human vs human games only! It is much more rewarding to study our own games.

Sorry bout that

@ john4000 - There were some defensive ideas you could have used.  You are right to think that f5 is a little difficult for black to handle, but you may not find a peer that can take advantage.  If you had denied his Ng5 attack for example, the normal way he would have to go after you is by opening the center.  Not so easy to accomplish.

Thanks a million for taking a look at the game! Now I see that Nf6 was the guilty move, and that my worry about his Ng5 was misplaced until his d3. It also didn't occur to me that my d5 could have been a good defensive move if I had followed it up properly instead of just throwing away my knight and landing myself back in hot water. I'll also take on board your point about getting my pieces developed when the time calls for it, now that I see my a8 rook just sat there doing nothing while I was paying attention to things that could wait on the other side of the board.

Maybe after I've put some more hours in I'll be able to post a game here which doesn't make you cry inside!

I really aprecciate your effort. I usually try to help people to analyse their games when they make a thread about it. It takes a lot of time and energy to do it and you bring it to a whole new level. I'm happy to se there are people like you and wanted to see what you think about a game I liked :D ... Thanks in advance.

@ eternalooser - 26. Rxf6 is met by 27. Nf5+ and mate in the next 2 moves.  White still wins. :(

I'm going to do as many games as I can in the next couple hours, but it looks like we're getting more submissions than I can handle.  Just remember the motto - free takes time.  Greetings to all.

This is one of many games I played against a much higher rated opponent. I won three out of 10 matches against him, and this is one that I won.

I don't know much about the opening I used, only that I seen a high rated member named jlandlaw use this opening extensively (as in almost every game).

@ mjh Thx for the feedback.  I enjoy doing this thread and am glad some people are appreciative.  Your knight sacrifice was technically about equal, meaning in the best play for black you'd still get 3 pawns for the piece.  The practical chances it gave you for a speedy end to the game was huge so I approve whole heartedly.  In club level chess (up through 1800ish), the attacking player has a huge advantage since most club players can't defend very well.  Good game.
