refusing a rook and keeping the pressure on whites king

in this game i refused a rook capture at first to decimate my opponents pawn structure and keep the momentum going not allowing my opponent any time to develop all his pieces . having my queen on the 8th rank was devastating and my knight move at the end linking my rooks was a winning move . my opponent didnt do much wrong at first i just thought i played a really good intelligent game

Some thoughts on your game.

Extensive move list so have a look. Might be tough to follow at times, but I have given 4 options at a crossroads that ended it for White.

Could have been an interesting game even after you thought you had it won.

I apologize in advance for any mistakes as I analyzed this game myself Laughing

The Queen check combination threatening the rook occurs a lot -- in the Scotch opening if white doesn't play correctly.  I think you underestimated white's attack.  As the previous poster mentioned in his annotations white had a few spectacular moves that he failed to play.  Overall, nice combination and great refusal of the hanging rook early on.  Most players would have ripped it off the board lol
