I sacrificed a pawn for a lead in development, but it was a bad idea. I thought I could trap my opponent's queen, but was unable to do so,

and had no idea how to take advantage of my lead in development. When I lost another pawn and was on the verge of being three pawns down, there was no reason to play on. This was a Daily Chess game. I have not done the computer analysis. The lesson I learned from this game is that I shouldn't sacrifice a pawn to try to get a positional advantage because that doesn't work.

A pawn is a pawn.

6 Nc3 or 5 Nc3 are better: knights first!

You could still draw 9 Bc1 Qc3 10 Bd2 Qb2
