Saving , Retrieving and Developng Set Pieces

I am a complete chess novice and new to chess.com. I know how to set up a particular set piece so the computer can advise me on my next move. However I do not know how to continually save and retrieve the set piece and interact with the computer for guidance. Can someone help me please. Many thanks. ORiadaM
