Some SMART analysis of this ending I'll be grateful

Well, I think in this ending white has a chance to win but, I don't really get with the different lines. I submit for computer analysis but at some point it turns crazy and some porpouses are hilarious.

pdela

Thanks, quite clarifying! lol

Should only be used for post mortems and not as an "in-game" resource.

pdela

sure

chessvictor777

yeah, like if my queen has been killed, the computer analysis shows the opponent's score to have increased by about 0.2.

chessvictor777

when it should be at least nine

pdela

maybe your queen was already trapped or you have to lose it, anyway

I haven't chekked using tablebases but it seems to me that this ending should be winning for white in any case. For example, if 4... Kxc3 then 5. h5 looks very strong or 4... g6 5. Kf4 etc.

I have, see post #2.... that's after Kxc3, when for the 1st time less than 7 pieces exist.

I am assuming that it is 'black to move' and that the black king started at the bottom edge of the board, but it would have helped to know for sure.

Looks like white just needs to ge the king involved to win, black keeps the queens on and trys to complicate.

pdela

oki, for sure it's black turn, black cannot keep the queen, I should have remove that for clarity. And yep before this move I made a mistake which made me forced to exchange queens, if not it would have been draws...well eventually were draws anyway

Well, actually i didn't made 4...Kxc3, I made 4...h5 5.Kf4 and then 5...Kxc3 that was the position prawn checked

pdela

and after 4...kxc3..............surprise........... draws (looking at tablebases) so as computer says 4.h5 lose the game (pretending white playing perfectly) so any little change is decisive

JuicyJ72

It looks like a fairly easy chicken coop idea.  White just needs to advance his king, block black's king and eat a black pawn to get a queen.  The pawn pushes don't make a lot of sense, it's the active king that wins this

hi mr. pdela the 6th move brings win for white. instead of exchanging the pawns by pushing g4 ,, stay cool and play the Kg5. white wins.

Are you sure about this? I found that 4... Kxc3 is mate in 19 according to the tablebases: (4... Kxc3 5. h5 {[%t bLon] Mate in 19:} 5... Kd4 6. Kf4 Kc5
7. Kf5 Kd6 8. Kg6 Ke7 9. Kxg7 Ke8 10. g4 Kd7 11. Kxh6 Ke8 12.
g5 Kf7 13. g6+ Kg8 14. g7 Kf7 15. Kh7 Ke8 16. h6 Kd7 17. g8=Q Kc6 18.
Qc4+ Kd7 19. Qb5+ Kc8 20. Kg6 Kc7 21. h7 Kd8 22. h8=Q+ Kc7 23. Qhb8#
{(Tablebases)}{*}).

Anyway this ending should be pretty basic even without the use of tablebases and I would be extremely suprised if black had a saving resource. I put the reservation about tablebases to my original post just to be on the safeside...

pdela

@Shakaali: well, it is possible I've mistaken. It's a problem I have :p

@ Mr.Kbalaiah: Thanks but I prefer to stay warm or hot I'm not sure

@jlueke: humm ....Tongue out ...chicken

@paulgottlieb: use a decoy, I like it

thanks you all
