sug_chess_puzzles Vs goldver

The first part of the game was a real fight! It would probably not be a very good idea against a higher rated opponent, but it's still interesting to watch a game like that.
Now I wanna comment on your game after you're a bishop up. So here you have a huge material edge. So you don't go crazy on the attack! First solidify your position. King safety first - castle, bring the rooks to the open files and then attack like crazy.
18. Nxd7?! is absolutely unnecessary. Castle was a more urgent priority, you can get rid of that knight later.
Again, 19. Bb5 is unnecessary. You do not have to trade off one of your bishops for the knight. A pair of bishops is a real advantage. 19. O-O is better.
23. Bd7? is a blunder. Better is 23. Bc3 Nxf2 24. Rhb1! challenging the b-file. Perhaps there's some sneaky tactics I don't see, but it seems good strategically.
26. Rhb1?? Hangs the bishop. 26. Bg3 first needs to be played first.
But see? I think what happened in this game is that you thought that "now that I have the material edge, let's get out there and win the game". This is not true. You were 2 points up in material, but till far in the game your rook at h1 didn't play, since you neglected your king safety as you did not castle. That gives your opponent a "temporary material advantage" on the side of the board that really matters.
Nice game though, it is always nice to watch a crazy strive for a win. ;)
