This has to be the worst game I have ever played. Guess I deserve it for pulling an all nighter 🤣 Check out this #chess game: Parzival1996 vs adrianceresa - https://www.chess.com/live/game/79387825907

That might not have been the best played game, but it was entertaining and makes for a good story grin.png

I presume that both players "assumed" that the back rank was defended because there was one rook at the back rank and normally the bishop on c1 isn't there.

It happens a lot to me - after I moved a piece (which was defending a second piece), I continued to assume that the second piece remained defended.

It sounds like you had an interesting chess game where both you and your opponent missed mate-in-one opportunities for three consecutive turns. Such oversights can happen to players of all skill levels, even to the best players in the world. Chess is a complex game, and oversights or mistakes are part of the learning process.

It's also fascinating that your opponent eventually found a different mate-in-one that you hadn't considered. Chess is a game of endless possibilities and multiple ways to achieve victory, so it's not uncommon for different players to find different winning moves or combinations.

Analyzing your games and identifying missed opportunities is an essential part of improving in chess. By reviewing your moves and studying the positions, you can learn from your mistakes and develop your tactical and strategic skills.

If you enjoy playing chess, I encourage you to continue playing and learning from your games. Chess is a challenging and rewarding game that offers continuous opportunities for growth and improvement. Good luck with your future games!
