We need more amateurs to post their annotated games.

I was on graduation trip previous week and when we had time we also played chess. Some nice games came out. Unfortunately lost both of them.

Here's the 1st round. Time control was 60|30 (40) + 15|30.

@MSC:

I'm no expert on this line at all, but the white pawn on a3 looks a bit weird. Maybe it's better to go for a quick b5-b4 to try to abuse that? castling kingside is also an option for you I think. You're castling into an attack ofc, but it seems quite slow for white. You haven't made any weaknesses on your kingside, the classic break is playing for g6, but that takes a while to get to.

Just some example line to give a general idea of what I'm looking at:

11...0-0 12.g4, b5 13.g5, Ne8 14. h4, b4 15.axb4, Nxb4.

Looks like your attack is fast enough to give white some troubles.

You have ideas like 16...Rxc3, or 16...e5 17.Nb3 Ba4,  or 16...Qa5 17. Nb3 Na2+, or 16... d5. Not claiming that those are winning or sth, but you're getting all kinds of open files and concrete ideas allready, white is still busy pushing pawns to start to open up your king.

I posted my recent annotated tournament games in this other thread.

You won't believe it was bullet. And also my most accurate game I've ever played. I checked it with engine and evaluation never crosses +0,20 or -0,20. I won't annonate it, but if you want, I can do it tommorow.

Here is a game i played with some good lines and fun, enjoy!

Scottrf

15. g4 Bg6 16. f5 traps his bishop.

jaybir

I was worried about the bishop sac on g4 and then he gets all the dark sqaures around my king which is in the open and I wasn't feeling at ease!

Scottrf

Yeah that is true.

jaybir

Here is a game with some mistakes but the endgame was nice to play down in material.

Here a nice nimzo-indian defence with a kingside attack combined with a strong queen position

This e5 move was pretty much my only concern indeed, and i think you showed us it isn't working!

Can you please help me to find my mistakes? And could I do any better considering the fact (at least I believe) that at one point I was in the better position. P.S MOVE 42. e6 was terrible. I have no idea why I did that. :|

This thread is about annotated games. It is good for you when you first try to do it yourself. Then other people migth react, but as ajian says. Not much happening in this thread lately.

HB3l1

I need to be vip in order to do that?

LoekBergman

No. When you take a look at the game of Shepi, then can you see that he shares what he has learned from the position. That is where this thread is all about. Not that you receive something, but that you give something. Shepi will have learned in the same time something, because he has written down those variations. That is a good way to learn variants.

I looked at his game, but did not know any contribution to his variants. I play that variant with black and have tried several times to play Ne5. I lost every time after that move. It did not bring me what I was hoping for. Now I see it again, so I am convinced now that Ne5 is not a good move in that position.

OK, here we go, some of you have already seen this one. ;)
