what is this?

its one of the available annotations in self analysis, but what does it do? it doesn't get used in the review tab, so wtf is it?

It's a standard annotation mark for an interesting or dubious move and has been around for decades. It's primarily a human type annotation and not something done by review and likely never will. There's not really an objective way to classify such a move from engine changes in evaluation.

!? means interesting but not bad.

?! means dubious, not necessarily a bad mistake but it could hurt ur position if u have a few ?!

Because humans want ways to evaluate positions. 🤔

An annotation device used for an interesting and possibly new, not necessarily bad move.

For example, some novelties in openings, though not necessarily bad, are considred interesting and often giving the annotation mark

i think they mean "why is it on this site if it is not used"

Because members might want to use it.
