Where did White go wrong?
4. a3 wasted move.
9. Be2 instead of d3. Loses central control.
Qc1 badly misplaces Q.
etc
White is a much weaker player than black and lost. You have to make your moves more useful.
After Black's d7-d5 and e7-e6 opening moves setting all of his central Pawns on light squares, any pin on your Queen's Knight would involve exchanging that Black dark-squared Bishop that's supposed to be guarding those dark squares.

bluemu means that you shouldn't favour knights over bishops. It's a weakness to do that and in this situation his dark square bishop is a more important piece than your knight so black would only exchange it if he could favourably transpose into an opening called the Nimzo-Indian. Favourably transpose means change to that opening line if it's to black's advantage. But his dark square bishop is important to black, to guard the dark squares.
a3 was a wasted move yeah white had nothing to worry about
White should have gained tempo before capturing the pawn
white's knight definitely went back and forth a few times, which wasted a few moves
Fun fact: Misha is 19 or 20 years old now, and he stopped playing chess a long time ago, at a very low level.
