Hi there!

This is a game I played and I lost a few days ago.... I tried to add some comment to understand the blunders and the mistakes...

What do you think about this game?

Where should I work harder?

thanks,

bye

Yes, your pawn structure gave your opponent easy targets. Because of that, you had to play defensively rather than think about your own attack.

Perhaps worth a try was 28 Qe8+ Kg7 29 Qxf7+ Kh8 or Kh6 30 Ne4 etc. But by then you had lost the exchange and two pawns.

16. Rfd1? was a mistake, surrendering your c-pawn for no reason. This is what allowed the black rook to reach your second rank. Then, your opponent played extremely poorly, giving you a couple of pieces for free, which would have allowed you to win the game, but...

23. Bd6?? was a blunder. You were up two pieces for two pawns and you decide to sacrifice one of them for no reason. Better would have been 23. Ra3, pinning the black knight against the queen.

26. Qb5?? was another blunder. Why give up your rook? You had no attack going, just a little scare with your queen. You should calculate these things through before making major sacrifices.

35. f3? was a mistake, surrendering your a-pawn when you could have protected it with Nc3 instead. This allowed your opponent to gain a pair of passed pawns, which are always deadly. And afterwards, you didn't really do much to stop those passed pawns.

Thanks a lot guys...

I'm always more convinced that the worst blunder was 23. Bd6?? but also the other mistakes and blunders could be avoided...

I played a really bad game...! Cry

Thanks again,

cheers!

If you wanted to play d4, why play d3 first? You lost a move. Instead of Bf4, maybe d5 to make his b7 bishop ugly. :)

Hope this helps...
