Sometimes I don't understand why the game ended in a draw when I had a clear advantage.

I played black.
I also play here quite often. The site offers a wide selection of games and great deals that might interest you, plus simple rules without any complicated fine print.

In your last game you didn’t attacked the king but when you look he couldn’t go anywhere and that’s called a stelmate

its because the white king had no place to move after you made your move, it does not matter if you had 5 queens( if ) , if the challenged has no place to run its concidered a draw, basically if the king cant not make a legal move or has no piece that can move for it, its a draw, hence, stalemate.

White has no legal move.

Therefore its a stalemate.

Therefore its a draw.

A stalemate is a popular way to get a draw out of a lost position.

Fun fact: black had mate-in-1 on move 47 and 48 and 49 and 50 and 51.

It’s a stalemate.

It's a stalemate. like others already said, white had no legal moves but the king wasn't in check, so by the rules it's a draw even if you had a big material advantage. You can also check out this website, which has interesting games with simple controls and easy-to-understand rules.

I find the mutual brilliancy at move 29/30 more fun.
