Why did black resign from this position?

If I had the position I probably wouldn't have resigned (but I'm a late resigner most of the time Cool) yet but I feel that white is a little better (at least) and black doesn't seem to have a lot of options. Of course, I'm not the strongest player either, so maybe black has more than it looks like.

I think black has missed that he has the e5 move :) When I saw this position I thought-"This is lost that knight has to move and the queenside pawns will fall in time. Well e5-Bg3-b5 and I think white stands better, but black is ok :)

It was black to move.

By the way, how much time did the opponent still have on the clock? I see that it was an 8 minute game with 7 sec increment.

If it's black to move, he seems to have given up too soon. After he plays e5 his position is unpleasant, but he's still in the game. You will never get to be a good player if you consistently give up in these positions

I totally agree. I tend not to resign until it turns from a fight into an execution.
