Why did my opponent resign?? They had options

Playing on is pretty much always an option, but white had good reason to resign here. Black was definitely better. First of all, black is up 4 points of material. White also doesn't have an easy way to attack black's king, but black has lots of infiltration ideas against white's king.

I feel like I blundered at some point though by putting my pieces in that overextended position. My rook was pinned which I did not realize until later.
